There are many ways to develop new leadership skills through Junior Farmers.

Locally, members can:

• Be elected onto their club executive

• Run a recruitment or social activity

• Create a display to promote Junior Farmers at a public event

• Write a news release for your local newspaper

• Create a club scrapbook to enter in JFAO's Communication Competition

• Help organize a local event

• Attend other organization's meetings and events on behalf of your JF club

• Encourage other members to get involved

• Nominate fellow members for a Rose Award

• Register your club to compete in Provincial Events

• Host a provincial event

Provincially, members can:

• Attend JFAO Leadership Camp

• Compete in Provincial Events

• Represent your club as Provincial Director at JFAO Board meetings

• Join a provincial committee (ex. • Help plan a provincial event (ex. March Conference, Leadership Camp, OYFF, Golf Tournament, Ambassadors' Banquet, etc.)

• Volunteer to help at provincial events

• Promote Junior Farmers by volunteering in a JFAO booth at tradeshows (ex. CIFS, IPM)

• Be elected as an organization representative and attend other organization's meetings

• Be elected onto the provincial executive
