In 2010 Essex-Kent completed a number of community betterment projects. The first project that Essex-Kent ran was in conjunction with Chatham-Kent 4-H. Essex-Kent members volunteered their time to the Chatham-Kent Toy Show and Sale. The funds they raised were then donated to a Haiti relief fund. The next project the club ran was a free skating night for the community. In lieu of admission, guests were asked to donate a non-perishable food item which was then donated the local food bank.  Lastly, members of the Essex-Kent club took it upon themselves to do a road clean up on Highway 7 between Slanted Road and Highway 36.

Essex-Kent Junior Farmer members are involved in their community and have volunteered for the Essex Plowmen’s Association.
