Middlesex JF was one of the first four counties to have a club in 1914 and at one point had 10 clubs! It celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2004 and after a year with no club in 2007, an active group is taking on the JF challenge again in 2008.

Middlesex JF won 1st place in Volleyball at the 2012 Winter Games. Excited members show the final score.
A Day of Flower Planting

Strathroy, Ontario- On June 10, 2012, a group of Middlesex Junior Farmers volunteered their time to plant flowers along the streets of Strathroy. (From left to right: Rob Vos, Roman Roduner, Stephanie Sanders, Patrick Sanders, Katrina Sloetjes, Kurtis Smith)
For several years the Middlesex Junior Farmers have been asked to plant flowers for the town of Strathroy. They are very appreciative of our help and enjoy the colour and wonderful smell the flowers add to the welcoming atmosphere of the town.
History of Middlesex JF One of the first four Junior Farmers’ Improvement Associations was organized in Strathroy in the winter of 1914 with the help of Agricultural Representative I.B. Whale. In 1922 the Middlesex County Junior Farmers’ Association was established, incorporating the following clubs: Strathroy, Glencoe, Mt. Brydges, Lucan, Lambeth, Dorchester, London, Ailsa Craig, Wardsville, and Appin. In 1924 the first Junior Institute, originally called the “Young Ladies’ Institute” was organized with Marion Campbell of Appin.
In 1944 the Middlesex County Association, which included Junior Farmer clubs in Ilderton, Thorndale, Ailsa Craig, and Parkhill and Junior Institute clubs in Dorchester, Harrietsville, Thorndale, Ailsa Craig, Parkhill, Ilderton, and Strathroy, affiliated with the Provincial Association.
