She has participated in competitions and held positions at the club, county and national levels. Mary enjoys sports, socializing and rural affairs. Helen is a receptionist and wedding coordinator and is also continuing her studies in event management. Her family has a beef and lamb farm. Helen has been an active member at the club and county level of Young Farmers for the past 7 years. She enjoys tug of wars, horseback riding and socializing. Helen is excited to see Niagara Falls.
Ruth Thomson

Ruth is an architecture student currently but grew up on a farm. Ruth has participated in a wide variety of Young Farmers Club competitions, including speech making, judging and baking. Ruth enjoys horses and agriculture. She is looking forward to experiencing the diversity of landscapes, lifestyles and architecture in Canada.
Susanne Egloff

Age: 22
Susanne is a commercial allrounder in an office and hopes to study business administration. She grew up in a rural area and has worked on a farm. Gymnastics, yoga and swimming are a few of Susanne’s interests. Susanne is looking forward to seeing the Canadian landscape, Niagara Falls and different types of farming operations.
Merle Krebs

Age: 24
Merle is a landscape gardener. She is a six year member of Landjugend. Swimming, rollerblading, skiing, gardening and reading are among Merle’s favourite past times. Merle is looking forward to seeing the Canadian landscape, Niagara Falls and hockey.
Renate Tiefengraber

Age: 24
Renate is studying economics and business administration. Renate is a member of the Styria Landjugend club. Sports, nature, economics, agriculture and sociology all interest Renate. Renate is eager to see Niagara Falls and the CN Tower as well as learning more about Canadian agriculture.
Ruth Marshall
Country: Northern Ireland
Age: 25
Ruth is completing her final year of study in occupational therapy. Her father farms 60 acres of potatoes, barley and vegetables. Ruth is a four year member of the Moneyrea Young Farmers Club. Ruth enjoys socializing, baking and doing crafts. She is excited to places of cultural heritage.
