JFAO Ambassadors' Banquet (in combination with Golf Tournament) (August 17, 2012)
- Annual reunion and banquet for participants in JFAO exchanges since 1945, celebration/wrap-up of the current year’s visiting exchange delegates.
- Thank you dinner to exchange delegate host families.
- Organized by the past year’s outgoing exchange delegates and a committee of volunteers.
JFAO Cultural Exchanges
- Members learn what’s it’s really like to live in another country through staying with families and participating in normal family/farm activities.
- JFAO partners with similar youth organizations in United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria area to provide organized exchanges
- Travelling delegates learn more about themselves, and gain confidence through being in new & unfamiliar situations.
- All delegates are required to do regular reports & media releases, and make public presentations upon their return.
- If supporting an international exchange, 2 additional tickets to our annual banquet (for a total of 4), the opportunity to present the exchange winner(s), mentions in presentations AND media releases relating to the exchange, a mention in the exchangee’s profile on our website, and your company logo on each exchangee’s business card.
Ontario Young Farmers’ Forum
- Organized in conjunction with Ontario Federation of Agriculture and Canadian Young Farmers ForumFocus’ on issues facing young farmers in the industry
- Speakers on various topics, including succession planning, farm technology, what does farming look like in the future
- Round table and panel discussions to encourage networking
- Open to anyone involved in agriculture 18-40
