DaytrippersDaytrippers is a non-profit children's charity managed entirely through the volunteer work of young professionals and students wanting to give back to the community.

Funds are raised for school trips to recognized educational and cultural institutions for children in grades 1 to 8 from lower-income and far-reaching areas. Through Daytrippers, inner city children have attended events such as the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, while children from rural communities have visited their first museum. Children with special needs have felt accepted by their classmates by accompanying them on school trips for the first time.

Since its inception 8 years ago, Daytrippers has raised over $500,000 and sent approximately 38,000 children on school trips. We are extremely proud of our efficiency ratio: since inception, more than 95 cents of every dollar raised has been reserved for trip expenses. Daytrippers supports students primarily from school boards across Ontario, but also has expanded to Quebec, Nova Scotia and British Columbia.

Money raised through JFAO will be designated to support agricultural education trips within Ontario.
