| President | Mary Feldskov | | | Mary has been a Junior Farmer for the past nine years, first as member with the University of Guelph and now with the Huron County Club. This is her third year on the executive. Mary is a graduate of the University of Guelph and currently works as a development officer for the Arthritis Society. She is also a volunteer with Big Sisters, the Foundation for Rural Living and the Howick Agricultural Society. Mary says, "I hope to use my experience in the not-for-profit sector to build a fundraising strategy that provides JFAO with necessary resources to create and offer sustainable leadership development programming." | | Past President | Corinna Smith-Gatcke | | | Corinna Smith-Gatcke of Lansdowne has been a member in both Leeds and Halton counties for ten years. She is a Mortgage Broker in the Brockville area and also cash crops with her husband Jeff Gatcke (Past President JFAO 1998). Their long-term plan is to have a working dairy farm by 2006. Like other members of the executive Corinna also volunteers with the local Agricultural Society. Corinna recently represented Ontario at the Canadian Young Farmers Forum in Vancouver and has been chosen to represent Canada at the World Congress of Young Farmers in June 2003 in Paris, France. | | Executive Director of Communications | Ellen Batchelor | | | Ellen was born and raised on a Beef Cow/Calf Feedlot operation just outside of Dundalk. She has been a member of the Rocklyn Junior Farmers in Grey County for eight years. Ellen volunteers with her local Agricultural Society and has been a leader with the Junior Calf Club for several years. In 2000 she traveled to Australia and New Zealand on a six month Junior Farmer exchange. | | Executive Director of Memebership | Leigh Stacey | | | Leigh resides in Ottawa and is the Business Manager of Stagra Automotive Ltd. She has been a Junior Farmer for going on eleven years in Peterborough and Ottawa-Carleton. She is President of the Ottawa-Carleton Junior Farmers and the Secretary for the Osgoode Ward Business Alliance. | | Executive Director of Finance | Brent Stephens
| | | Brent Stephens has been a member with Lambton County for 6 years. He grew up on a cash crop farm and works now as a Construction Estimator. Brent is a volunteer firefighter, a director with the Brigden Fairgrounds and is the President of Lambton JF having held jost other positions at club level. | | Executive Director of Marketing | Jennifer Mitchell | | | Jennifer has been a member in Wellington County for ten years. She has held jost positions on club, county and zone executives and looks forward to her second year as Director of Marketing. Jennifer graduated from the Diploma in Agriculture Program at the University of Guelph and works as a Customer Service Representative at the Erin Country Depot. She is also an active member of the Erin Agricultural Society. Jennifer lives and breathes classic country music and enjoys singing, playing fiddle, guitar and piano. She hopes to complete her first CD early this summer. |
